Hiring talent can be daunting. Junior talent as a whole have uneven skill sets that are buried behind portfolios that all look the same. Once hired, managers often don’t know what these people are capable of or how to foster their success. Companies often wing it when it comes to growing their staff, to the detriment of employee productivity, retention and ultimately product quality.
Luckily, there is a better way! Come hear from three industry professionals discuss their approaches for bringing on talent, while keeping business constraints in mind. You will leave with new skills, tools, and a passion to invest in the future of your teams.
Immediately following the panel there will be an opportunity to meet with General Assembly Chicago's Web Development UX/UI Design candidates. Think of a reverse job fair, where the talent is showcasing their projects and skills, and the employers are walking around meeting them in an informal and fun way.
GA candidates have a variety of professional experiences to bring to your team. Many of them are looking for entry-level, full-time roles aligned with the skills they just developed at GA, and others are ready for mid-career opportunities. Some are also interested in learning about contract, freelance, and internship opportunities. There are no fees associated with hiring from the GA network.
