About this event

As Seattle grows richer in tech innovation and entrepreneurship, the benefits haven’t been felt equally. Join The Seattle Globalist and General Assembly for an illuminating discussion on the gender and racial pay gap within Seattle’s burgeoning startup scene.

Award-winning tech journalist Ruchika Tulshyan and author of “The Diversity Advantage: Fixing Gender Inequality in the Workplace” will be sharing her findings on gender and race inequity in the workplace and among Seattle’s startups. This will prelude a stimulating conversation with some of Seattle’s most courageous female startup founders. What drove them innovate and establish their startups? What is the industry looking like for female startup leaders and founders in Seattle? What are the challenges and opportunities now?

Event Agenda:

  • 6:00: Networking/mingling
  • 6:30: Ruchika Tulshyan on “The Diversity Advantage” and The Seattle Globalist’s mission
  • 7:00: Panel Discussion and Q&A
