About this event

Overview:

From 2 billion people in extreme poverty in 1990 to 800 million in 2015: the last 25 years has seen a development revolution.

International development has supported this growth, including the creation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which benchmark development progress. In the U.S., the Millennium Challenge Corporation was founded to promote the MDGs and support countries with robust economic policies.

Asia has been a frontrunner in the achievement of MDGs, and while challenges remain. The development world is increasingly embracing public-private partnerships and new technologies are capable of upending the traditional modes of progress. This event will look at the future of development in Asia and give participants a chance to discuss innovative solutions.
