Mobile apps have become a staple in everyday life. There are over 1.2 million apps in the app store and Apple has sold more than $10B dollars in apps since the first iPhone launched. Knowing how to build simple apps can help you bring your ideas to life, even more knowing how Swift works can let you to build quickly apps targeted for the last Apple operating system(s).
During this 4 hour workshop you will learn the basics of Swift, how Auto Layout works, how to use the Storyboard, how to respond to user interaction events (buttons, text fields, etc.), how to integrate external services into your app (e.g. Parse.com), how to handle your app model with Core Data in Xcode, how to recover remote data and how to render them using UITableView and custom cells.
Basic programming knowledge and a Mac with installed OSX 10.9.5 or greater and Xcode 6.x
