Social media channels are an effective (and free) way to engage your audience and grow your business. But if you’re putting in the time and effort to expand your digital footprint, it’s essential to make sure you’re getting the most out of it. By knowing how to keep track of and analyze key metrics, you’ll be able to develop your social media presence into a powerful brand building tool.
In this class, you’ll gain an understanding of the fundamentals of social media analytics. You’ll learn to identify which metrics matter the most (and which ones to avoid), how you can use your data to optimize content, and different ways that you can organize and report your data to clients and internal teams.
Students will need to have access to the social media accounts they’re looking to monitor, and have signed up for and preloaded their accounts into Sumall (https://sumall.com/). Students should bring note taking materials, and print outs of any reports that they would like replicate.
