About this event

The General Assembly Social Impact Board is excited to host a hackathon! This event is FREE (lunch will be provided as well), and all GA students and alumni are invited. Participants can be of any skill level, from any GA class, and you can come solo, or with a team already assembled. Each team must consist of 4 participants and all participants must fill out this registration form.

The theme for the hackathon will be “How can we increase voter turnout among 18-30 year-olds in the upcoming November election?" After the issue is introduced, teams will start brainstorming, pitch their ideas, and form teams to hack away at the theme (experienced coaches including GA instructors will circulate during this time). Finally, teams will present their work and judges will give their feedback. This is a great opportunity for you to add an interesting piece to your portfolio, gain cross-functional team experience, and work on an important and exciting issue.

See you there!
