This month we will be joined by Andrea Brücken live from Hamburg, Germany. Andrea has agreed to take time out of her busy schedule to speak at SketchnoteLDN about the power of Visual Storytelling. Andrea studied cultural sciences, specifically theatre, literature, movies and journalism, although her focus is print and online media. She is an active member of the international sketchnote community and has built a professional ‘sketchnoting and live scribing’ business. In her spare time, she enjoys illustration regularly sharing her amazing work on Twitter (@dieHauteCulture), if you’re not following her you should. Following on from Andrea's talk, Makayla and Nidhi will offer sketchnote practice exercises e.g. co-creating a visual icon library, rapid storytelling, and sketchnoting practice using Storycubes and unique and fun videos i.e. music, recipes, talks and comedy sketches.
Attendees will leave knowing what sketchnotes are all about. The concept of taking notes visually, finding your person style, and practicing icons to start building your own visual library.
This is a hands-on session so be prepared to sketch and have fun. Please bring some papers or sketchbooks with your favourite pens, stationery and of course lots of questions for Andrea Brücken
