About this event

As mobile devices continue to emerge as the predominant source of news consumption and social interaction for brands and the private sector, how can governments and non-profits move with them? In this discussion, Code and Theory Managing Partner Michael Martin will examine how to design for maximum civic engagement through the lens of system design, how non-profit digital design can differ from brand design, and how cause-based organizations can use content to their advantage. Martin will draw from the agency's work with organizations including Truth Initiative, NY Senate and NY.gov, among others.

Code and Theory is a digital-first creative agency that designs products and brand experiences across platforms. The agency has helped redefine media with clients including Bloomberg, The Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times, Vogue and Mashable, and enables brands to connect with new and existing consumers. Recognized as one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Design by Fast Company in 2015, Code and Theory employs more than 350 people in offices across San Francisco, New York City, London, Atlanta and Manila.
