About this event

Unconscious bias is a normal, omnipresent occurrence and “mental shortcut” that our brains make in order to process information. At work, bias manifests as everything from micro-aggressions (e.g. telling an unintentionally offensive joke at the expense of a person/group) to a systematic lack of inclusion (e.g. not providing women and minorities with the same strategic, career-building feedback offered to white men, which keep those groups out of executive roles).

In this event, managers and leaders will learn to spot their own unconscious bias, where it comes from, and how to overcome it in order to ensure their workforce isn't comprised of the best possible talent, with the freedom to give their best every day.

Takeaways

  • Identify your own unconscious bias, where it comes from, and how to rewire
  • Learn how to support others/stand up for oneself in the face of bias
  • Create actionable steps towards inclusion in the office.
