About this event

Project Fashioneer is a movement to build confidence in the gender gap of STEM related fields. Here at Project Fashioneer we have created a curriculum to embrace your creativity while learning skills based in science, technology, engineering, and math. Instead of deciding if you are an artist or if you are an engineer, our program shows that you can be both.

In this panel and interactive workshop we will discuss the problems that are faced in the tech environment based on your sex, learning disabilities, location, and status. We will discuss what we are changing and how we want to inspire the work force to advance. We will finish our panel with a Q&A.

After our panel we will work together in groups to create a fashion design & engineering process. We will collaborate in groups, learn what fashion engineering is, and prototype a fashion problem that we want a solution for. We will have a interactive 3D modeling introduction as well. If you want to 3D model, please bring a laptop and download TinkerCad (which is a free program).

If you want to have your 3D models printed it will cost a $5 shipping fee. We can not print at the event because of time constraint but we can ship your model to you from your design.
