About this event
In honor of Asian Pacific Islander heritage month join Project by Project's annual panel event to discuss our campaign theme for this year: Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) and Homelessness. This esteemed panel features experts from non-profit, government, and social enterprise to discuss their role in combating and preventing homelessness in LA County.
Topics will include:
Addressing myths and root causes related to homelessness (e.g., poverty, mental illness, substance abuse, domestic violence, etc.)
How to help and/or interact with people experiencing homelessness, funding sources (e.g., Measure H, Proposition HHH)
Innovative programs (e.g., safe parking program, mobile showers, shared housing, etc.)
