Case Study: BNP Paribas Cardif Partners With GA for Product Management Training

Problem: By identifying the professions of tomorrow to support the company development, global insurance leader BNP Paribas Cardif sought to give employees the opportunity to grow their careers — or start new ones.

Solution: As part of its Strategic Workforce Planning initiative, the SKILLS UP programme is a five-year partnership with General Assembly to train employees in future-facing topics, including product management.

Impact: “This is completely unlike traditional training programmes, where you go back to your everyday routine as soon as it’s over. The participants build projects, putting their newly acquired skills into action immediately. And the training programmes deal not only with technical dimensions but also with resources and new methodologies linked to behavioural and relational skills: lean startups, the Agile Method, capacity to work in a multi-disciplinary context, presenting a project, and so on.” — Nathalie Doré, Chief Digital and Acceleration Officer, BNP Paribas Cardif

What are my financing options?

We offer a variety of different financing options, including instalment plans, so you can focus on what counts — your education. Speak with our Admissions team to learn more and find the best fit for you and your finances.

Our programme is currently not eligible for governmental funds in France such as CPF, however, we are working to become eligible in the future.

The “Compte personnel de formation” (i.e., “personal training account’”) was created in order to provide training opportunities throughout an employee’s professional life in France, encouraging everyone to undertake training or study throughout their working life until retirement age.

The CPF is made available to employees working in the private sector, as well as job-seekers and youth who are entering the world of work (at 15- or 16-years-old) exclusively in France.

As the training is eligible for the Personal Training Funding, it is possible to use your Personal Training Account (CPF) in order to partially or totally finance the training. If your account’s balance cannot cover the full amount of the training, you have the option of using contributions depending on your status:

  • If you are an employee, your employer can pay a voluntary contribution to help finance your training by paying the rest. A connection from your employer to the EDEF space is required.

  • If you are a job seeker, Pôle Emploi can provide support. A prior request must be made with your Pôle Emploi advisor. It is preferable to make the request 30 days before the start of your training.

You also have the possibility of financing the remainder by paying via  credit card.

However, do not hesitate to contact your company to find out if it can utilise its personal funds to help you finance training, or contact your National Job Centre (Pôle Emploi) advisor if you are a job-seeker. Indeed, many structures in France such as your region, Pôle Emploi, or AGEFIPH can help you finance your training. Your job-seeker advisor at Pôle Emploi will be able to direct you toward these different systems or offer you Individual Training Assistance (AIF).

General Assembly France is a Qualiopi Training Center and therefore meets the quality requirements set by the French Vocational Training’s law.

Are GA’s courses accessible for people with disabilities?

GA can provide access to its courses for people with disabilities. Please contact our Admission team to discuss your needs and learn how we could support you throughout your learning journey.
