About this event

Under the global pandemic, the world has shifted to working from home overnight, rendering the population reliant on digital platforms for many if not all of life's basic functions. However, this reality is nothing new for the 61 million North Americans who self-identify as having a disability and had this experience since the Internet’s inception. It's these circumstances that have amplified the need for increased accessibility to help people connect with friends and family, colleagues, businesses, and each other.

This panel brings together LGBTQ2S+ accessibility practitioners who have had hands-on experience in implementing and advocating for accessibility at their organizations. Whether it be building accessible products, designs, content, our speakers will share their stories of advocating for accessibility in the workplace, how they got to where they are today, and what audience members can do to further the cause at their places of work.
