About this event

What do a pair of skis, the latest & greatest social media app, and a groundbreaking automation platform have in common? Well, from our perspective, all three are built by successful designers and product managers.

Here at GA, we often talk about product management and user experience design in terms of tech products — wireframing, agile software development, usability testing. But all those same principles of Design Thinking and Product Management apply not only for tech products but also for products you can touch, hold, and feel. We are going to consider the similarities and differences in the role of design and product management in creating physical products.

We'll explore the following questions and more!

  • Where do product ideas come from?
  • How is the product management process implemented?
  • What is the priority in product design? Safety? Functionality? Aesthetic?
  • How can we take what we learn from physical product designers & product managers, and apply that to tech?

Join us for a panel event with leaders, designers, and product managers to learn more about how various industries manage their product development cycle through invention, prototyping, and testing. Get a behind the scenes look at how some of our favorite products are designed and built!
