About this event

50% of Australians don’t have a plan for their finances. In this one hour session, you’ll learn the pillars of personal finance and tips for saving, investing, and how to build wealth.

As Kayne says: “Havin' money's not everything, not havin' it is.”

In this short class, we’ll go over the basics of personal finance, and how to set yourself up to build wealth.

We’ll cover everything from getting out of debt, automating your savings, to investing for the best long-term returns. We’ll also talk about the “Behaviour Gap”, and learn why most people fail to match the investment performance of the stock market.

The most important part of successful finances is to start early, so don’t worry that you’re too young or haven’t done investing before — this session is for at you.

Takeaways

Students will learn:

  • Understand what “Financial Freedom” is and the different paths to get there.
  • Learn how to automate your behaviour to make it easier to save.
  • Find your “savings rate” and learn why earning more does not automatically result in building wealth.
  • Discover the do’s and don'ts of investing

Prereqs & Preparation

This session is for anyone who wants to get better at managing their money, and learn more about investing.
