    About this class

This event is part of General Assembly Australia's Open Day, a free, in-person full day event filled with free tech classes, career workshops, and networking activities. Join us to find out all about what General Assembly has to offer in your pursuit of a new tech career.

You have to crawl before you can run, and with a coding career, it’s no different. This is the perfect place to take your first steps. In this free, 2-hour class, get hands-on practice applying the basics of HTML and CSS, and find out if a coding career is right for you. You’ll learn about how programming powers the web, and what it could look like to have a career in software engineering. Then, move on to live practice of basic HTML & CSS syntax to drive it all home. Bonus: there will be time at the end for live Q&A with the instructor. We'll see you in class.
