Natural Language Processing (NLP) has taken data science by storm as one of the most asked-for disciplines in the field. This 3-hour workshop focuses on exposing participants to three NLP practices applied to social media and news: text analytics in pandas, supervised ML for text classification, and unsupervised ML for topic modeling. Participants are expected to come with some exposure to python and pandas, and will leave with two completed pilots for their personal Git repositories.
2 completed pilot projects for git repositories/code portfolios.
