About this event

An industry-only event, General Assembly welcomes companies to meet graduates of our User Experience Design Immersive Program. Our graduates will be on hand to show off their projects, and are available to chat about job opportunities (plus GA does not charge any placement fees).

About Our Students

While our graduates all display a common set of skills and competencies, they each bring their own backgrounds and interests to their work.

Meet User Experience Designers who:

• Come from a range of professional backgrounds including: Service Design, Graphic Design, Social Media & Marketing, Product Development and Project Management.
• Have undertaken intensive UX Design training from expert instructors
• Are up to speed with the most current UX practices used by the industry
• Can confidently demonstrate the value of UX to stakeholders
• Have proven experience in User Research, competitive analysis and usability testing
• Know how to sketch, prototype, and iterate on findings
• Have a UX portfolio that shows complete process, not just an end result
• Are fluent in UX methodology

Format

The event is structured as a reverse job fair. Graduates will be stationed at tables, showcasing their individual and team projects. Graduates are looking for paid employment or apprenticeship roles, and many are open to either/both.
