• Interested in being a one-time mentor for budding UX Designers?

Our latest UX designers have just completed an intensive training program at General Assembly, and they’re ready to hit the job market. Join us for breakfast to get a sneak peak at their design work, before they start interviewing at other companies.

You’ll have the opportunity to connect with our most recent cohort of User Experience Designers, share your industry knowledge, and provide valuable feedback on candidates’ portfolios. If your team is hiring, you’ll get first dibs at our top talent.

How does it work?

This event is a little like speed interviews: we’ll have two rounds, 30 minutes each, where you’ll pair up with a GA candidate. They will pitch you on their skills and experience, and then walk through their UX portfolios. You’ll have a chance to deliver quick feedback.

After the interview rounds, you’ll have time to connect with all of the additional candidates, and you’ll receive a talent booklet with their profiles.

Agenda:

• 8:30-8:45 Welcome and grab breakfast
• 8:45-9:15 Pitch & Portfolio Review round 1
• 9:15-9:45 Pitch & Portfolio Review round 2
• 9:45-10:00 Mingling with additional candidates

Who should attend?

• We welcome UX, Product Design, and Creative professionals, especially leaders/managers and senior designers.
• Hiring managers who are (or will soon be) growing their UX or Product Design teams are encouraged to attend.
• Attendees should be familiar with the hiring process for UX designers, in order to advise our candidates.
• Attendees should be ready critique a UX design portfolio and share industry advice.

If you share your hiring needs in advance, we’ll pair you up with the best-fit candidates for your company.
