The pandemic has impacted the lives of so many, and in particular, has presented new challenges and burdens for young adults and teenagers. On top of their "normal" responsibilities, they've also been faced with navigating unfamiliar and stressful situations such as online learning, restrictions on seeing friends and participating in organized group activities, and the uncertain future state of our county and our world. Many parents are struggling to find solutions to reduce the anxiety, stress, and fear that their children are now dealing with on a daily basis.
Science shows that a regular mindfulness and meditation practice improves cognition, stabilizes stress, promotes emotional health and well-being, and increases attention and focus. This mindfulness and meditation session is specifically designed for young adults and teenagers that are dealing with stress and anxiety as a result of the pandemic. During this half hour session, we'll learn what buzzwords "mindfulness" and "meditation" mean, walk through a mindfulness exercise that taps into all five senses, and practice a guided breath meditation with a 200-hour certified yoga instructor.
You'll leave this session feeling calmer, less anxious, and more focused.
