Rejection is a daily struggle we all have in our lives. Rejection is the dismissal or refusing of a proposal or idea, and it is relevant in business because it can shape future behavior. One who faces heavy amounts of rejection can become timid, lose confidence and refuse to take another chance at an opportunity. We must recover from rejection, build ourselves back up, and find other opportunities, ideas, and deals to propose.
Student will learn that while rejection is inevitable, we can be empowered through our reaction to dismissal. Instead of letting the rejection weigh us down, one must embrace the negative feedback to become stronger for future opportunities. The class emphasizes that hearing “no” does not make you or your idea a failure; we learn lessons each time we experience rejection. We will also discuss what to do after experiencing a rejection-- ways to cope in the moment and long-term.
An open mind!
