Visual Analytics is how human brains naturally interpret information, however it has been neglected in the way we analyze data since the existence of this field. This course is designed to introduce you to the field of visual analysis, its history, background and implication to today's Business Intelligence field.
After a solid introduction to visual analysis and the ways our brains process information, we'll go hands on to explore how to use Tableau's specialized software. Tableau was founded with the base idea to bring "visual, quick & easy data analytics" to anyone who wants to make sense of their data and answer their own questions. The software is quickly becoming the industry standard for visualizing data, and in the Workshop you'll learn the basics of how to operate it.
After this workshop you are able to:
Understand what visual analytics are and how it impacts data analysis
Use Tableau Software to connect to your data and create your own analysis or dashboard in 20 mins
Publish your work through Tableau Public for sharing
Unlike many other Data science workshops, this workshop does not require any prior programming knowledge. As long as you can use your mouse and Excel you'll be fine. Any (business) people who have an interest to understand and visualize their data are most welcome.
