About this workshop
Application programming interfaces, or APIs, provide developers with access to the data and functionality of websites, which developers can use to create new interactive and dynamic features. When combined, APIs can do new and powerful things with a variety of potential business applications. In this workshop ideal for web developers, people interested in leveraging powerful algorithms will learn how they can use Algorithmia, an open marketplace for powerful algorithms.
Algorithmia was born in 2013 with the goal of advancing the art of algorithm development, discovery and use. As developers ourselves we believe that given the right tools the possibilities for innovation and discovery are limitless.
This workshop will have a lecture portion and then a hands-on exercise where you'll get to try the power of Algorithmia yourself. We'll also allow for some time for you to network with peers after.
