About this event

We get it. Being your own boss is hard. Everywhere you turn you’re being told to build a website, make a logo, optimize your SEO, develop an app, create a chatbot, write a press release - the list goes on and on. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to know what you really need and why?

Welcome to Fiverr’s ‘Leveling Up’ workshop series. Here you’ll learn about the skills that matter most from entrepreneurs just like you. You have the questions, and we’ve got the answers.

Join us from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on August 1st at General Assembly Denver @ Industry RiNo Station in Denver to learn how immigrant founders turned their side hustle into a main hustle.

You will hear from Alejandro Flores-Munoz a food truck owner and Immigrants Rising Fellow about his journey starting a company, and discuss what role the undocumented community can have in changing policy and changing the conversation.

During this session, Alejandro will share his immigration story and talk about what being a recipient of DACA means and what immigrants do to launch a business. He will cover initial steps taken to successfully maneuver through the legal system and obtaining a business license regardless of status.

This session is geared towards dismantling the stigma of immigrants and to bring to the forefront the contributions that immigrants bring to our local small business sector.

Light Refreshments Provided.
