Are you starting a new business and have no idea where to start? Or have you been running your own business while working your “day job”? Are you overwhelmed with questions about all the paperwork you have received about your business? The Legal and Practical Aspects of Starting a Small Business will help answer your questions that you have been afraid to ask (or didn’t know to ask).

This workshop covers the ABCs of starting a business and is designed to help you understand the basic terms and topics when you start a small business. Discover how to take that first step to owning your own company. Learn what the difference is between a sole proprietorship and a corporation. Learn about what government entities will be contacting you. Topics will include company formation, contract review and contract negotiation, and important tools that you will need to make your company successful.

This workshop is for the small business owner or the person who is thinking about starting one. This workshop is ideal for the individual who knows her/his craft well, but is a little lost as to the next steps to take as a businessperson.
