About this workshop

“Becoming a leader is becoming yourself” - Warren Bennis

Everyone talks about leadership, but what does it really mean? In this workshop, we’ll explore what being a leader truly means, how you can embody great leadership and why it matters.

You’ll learn about the key aspects great leaders share, the difference between leadership and authority and how to develop your own unique leadership perspective, style, and practice. We’ll talk about the great leaders you know and what attributes they share, and we’ll discuss as a group (and in pairs) how you define what being a leader means to you. You’ll leave this workshop with a deeper understanding of what being a leader means, and you’ll start the process of learning how you can show up as a leader in your professional (and personal) lives---- and become more aware, more collaborative, more productive and more courageous in the process!

Prereqs & Preparation

Please give some thought to answering the question: what is your purpose? (This is an essential aspect of leadership, so it’s worth grappling with…)

Also, please bring: a laptop or pen/paper, an open mind and a willingness to participate!
