About this event

Are you the best teammate you can be? According to a study by the Harvard Business Review, 75% of cross-functional teams self-identify as dysfunctional. Team projects are complex and teamwork can get awkward and messy.

However, working productively in teams is how we accomplish our best work. Learning to be an advanced collaborator is a critical skill in today’s work environment - even more so when we add common workplace complexities like remote team members, diverse backgrounds and increasing workplace stress.

Hard skills are not enough - to get to the next level we need to ‘work on our UI.’ To succeed at work, individual contributors and managers must sharpen core interpersonal skills to compliment their hard skills. The strongest collaborators prioritize maintaining healthy relationships with their co-workers, which means acting with kindness, respect, and empathy.

Attendees of this session will leave with an actionable set of interpersonal skills that they can continue to practice. The session will cover ‘soft skills’ like active listening, how to give constructive feedback without offending teammates, and how to identify your blind spots.

This event is produced in partnership with BigTalker.
