About This Class

At the heart of every successful business is love for their customers. But how can you love someone you don’t even know?

Whether you’re designing a product or creating a marketing campaign – knowing your customer is critical. This class will introduce you to the tools you need to get to know your customers through market research – their needs, wants, pain points and the key insights which drive their behaviour.

We’ll show you how good market research can give you the confidence to create better products, launch effective marketing campaigns and design delightful user journeys.

This class is great for designers, developers or entrepreneurs who want to understand their customers, define their target market and feel confident they’re making decisions based off robust customer insights.

Jeanette is Channel Development Manager for ANZ Group Innovation, managing the proposition and pipeline for some of ANZ’s newest digital products. Before this, she spent over 10 years in marketing, product development and strategy - deep in the belly of corporate Australia.

More recently, Jeanette has been exploring entrepreneurship as co-founder of The Hacker Exchange - a skills and internship exchange service connecting Australian uni students to opportunities in San Francisco, creator of the Gingerbread Demolition charity initiative, career consultant at The Hired, and Melbourne Ambassador for Like-Minded Bitches Drinking Wine (look it up!).

Qualified in sociology, economics and marketing, Jeanette is an experienced speaker, mentor and facilitator - and loves to help elevate a great idea to the next level. When she’s not hunting for Melbourne's newest food experience, you can find Jeanette running startup events, trying to win her cat's affection, or tweeting about terrible ad campaigns to no one in particular.
