The European General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") is the successor to the "European Directive" and governs the privacy of data for European residents. GDPR is more stringent than the prior European Directive and, with the increased use of data for data science and machine learning, will have a significant impact on data scientists and AI developers -- including those based in the U.S. Ronald Chichester will provide a brief description of GDPR, and describe the impart that GDPR will have on data scientists, including those who work in the U.S.
