About this class
Enter the world of programming with JavaScript via the lens of data visualization. Most of us know of JavaScript as a front-end interaction component to websites; but in addition to animating elements and enhancing the user experience, powerful data visualization libraries exist to create interactive experiences that are traditionally done through static spreadsheets, charts, and graphs. This two-hour online class is meant for beginners to JavaScript and will cover basic JavaScript syntax, data structures and how they relate to data modeling, as well as an introduction to D3.js. Please note we will not cover in-depth data science topics; for more information about data science, we offer data science-focused classes, workshops, and circuits.
