The world can be at your fingertips at the click of a mouse, but what if you couldn't use a mouse or see the screen? Believe it or not, the internet and all its capabilities is the best thing that has ever happened to people with disabilities (whether they be vision, hearing, motor or cognitive) and these people make up about 20% of the Australian population!
In this 3 hour class, you'll dive into the world of web accessibility, discovering the frustrations those who have a disability experience. Accessibility doesn't necessarily mean you need to eliminate creativity altogether. Get your head around those dreaded WGAC2.0 guidelines, learn how you can consider their user experience and understand what you need to do to achieve compliancy in your website.
