About this workshop

Java is a powerful and versatile language that is over 20 years old! It is used by more than 3 billion devices world wide. It is a mature and stable tool that can be used to:

  • Build mobile applications -Build web applications
  • Build desktop applications
  • Build games

And much more!

In this bootcamp, we will learn the basics of the java programming language in such a way that there will be a path forward to continue to learn further concepts in a more specialized setting, whether that is mobile app development or game development. In particular, we will learn how to install and run java in your local machine and how to use programming concepts such as conditionals, loops and functions to write useful java programs.
