A second monitor is recommended, but not required.

Additionally, participants will need to download and install Anaconda (Python Version 3.6): Download link here.

Tip: Scroll to your operating system version and click on the install button for Anaconda with Python 3.6. Note: We'll be using Python version 3.6 in this workshop.

Technical Considerations:

  • For participants on Windows, you’ll need Microsoft Windows 8/10 (32- or 64-bit). For those with Macs, you’ll need the Mac OS X 10.8.5 or higher, up to 10.11.4 (El Capitan).

Carleton Smith is a proud machine learning nerd. Before completing his Predictive Analytics degree from DePaul University, Carleton drifted from one unsatisfying sales job to another within the insurance and technology industries. Since discovering his passion for machine learning, Carleton has worked as a Data Analyst for the fintech firm, Envestnet, and as a Visual Informatics Researcher at DePaul University. Carleton is an avid Indiana University basketball fan (Go Hoosiers!) and enjoys running, morning coffee, and spending time with his 7 year old puppy.
