About this event
We invite anyone and everyone who is interested in design. Whether you’re just starting on your path as a designer, a seasoned vet, a marketing manager, product manager, and beyond. This two-hour workshop was crafted to give you a solid foundation and understanding to successful and effective design. We’ll cover topics from an overview of Visual Design, the different careers available, what skills matter most, and what tools and resources you have to get started.
You’ll leave this workshop with an understanding of what creates successful design and a tried and true process for crafting beautiful and strategic design.

- A laptop is required for this workshop.
- For those on Windows, you’ll need Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 (32- or 64-bit). For those with Macs, you’ll need the Mac OS X 10.8.5 or higher, up to 10.11.4 (El Capitan). Upgrade your operating system before class, if needed.
- Basic technical aptitude and orientation to computers, and curiosity to learn new tools.
