About this event

New York City is a melting pot of communities of thinkers and makers. Our “Intro to the ‘X’ Community” event series will give you the inside scoop as well as the tips and tricks you need to break into the respective community.

This week we look at the Freelance community to gain a perspective on the persistence and relationship skills needed to make a living as a freelancer.

Our expert presenter Ducminh Nguyen will begin by giving an overview of his personal journey - from working full-time to working freelance. He will then continue with an interactive session broken into 3 parts, covering:

  • How to Get Work & Relationship Building
  • Managing Finances and Small-time Operations
  • The Lifestyle and Skill-Building

Following each topic, attendees will be given the opportunity to discuss their own career situations and obtain advice from the group. A great way to gain insight into the world of a freelancer and network with members of the community.

Beer & pizza provided!
