    About this event

New York City is a melting pot of communities of thinkers and makers. Our “Intro to the ‘X’ Community” event series will give you the inside scoop as well as the tips and tricks you need to break into the respective community.

To launch this weekly series, General Assembly has partnered with NYDesigns to introduce the New York entrepreneurial design community. We invite you to meet Bhold, MTWTF and the Parsons ELab - three leading design groups focused on how design can be more human-centered, civically engaged and entrepreneurial. Together these groups are part of a growing number of designers that are working as, or partner with startups to improve the value and impact of products and technologies by focusing on user experience and interaction. If you’re a current design student, recent graduate, new to the city, looking to make a transition in your career or just level up, this free event will help you get acquainted with the dynamic world of design in NYC. During this well-rounded panel discussion featuring some of the best and brightest in the design world, we'll cover key events, companies, people, current issues, and career paths in the industry. Drinks are on us, so come along to this event to meet others in the local design community! After the event, all are encouraged to network with other attendees.
