About This Workshop

Have an idea for an app or website, but have been frustrated trying to communicate it to others? Enter Sketch. Sketch is a simple, powerful design tool made specifically for those who design for screens. It has taken the UI/UX design world by storm and designers worldwide have already made the switch. Sketch lets you express your product ideas visually, with its intuitive interface. You’ll be able to vividly share your concepts with potential customers, collaborators, and investors.

In this hands-on class, we'll walk through Sketch design and workflow elements, tools, and other UX/UI essentials. We will also discuss best practices, workflow strategy, and current resources. Start designing apps immediately with this in-depth exploration and workshop!

Prereqs & Preparation

This workshop is ideal for UX professionals, graphic designers, web designers, entrepreneurs, and multi-disciplinary creative professionals.

What to bring to class: All students must bring their own laptop. Please also have Sketch installed prior to class. We also ask that you download and install the Craft plugin and the Zeplin plugin for Sketch.

Marcela is a creative problem solver who pays close attention to the role of design throughout every touchpoint of a user's journey. As Lead Designer at Framebridge, an online custom framing company, she worked on visual branding and interaction—from marketing, to ordering, to packaging, and beyond—ensuring the experience is intuitive, delightful, and on-brand. Before Framebridge, Marcela specialized in branding and UX design at LivingSocial and CoStar Group, drawing from more than five years of e-commerce and user-centric product experience.
