About This Class

The Intermediate Excel: Formula and Functions workshop is designed for participants who have mastered the material from the Excel at Excel workshop and are looking to build upon those skills. Given that there lacks an enforceable , the workshop does review a few topics from the Excel at Excel workshop, including conditional math functions and basic reference functions, to ensure that all participants have the basic knowledge needed for the advance topics. Participants will learn specialized functions and how to combine functions to achieve more advance tasks. Additionally, the workshop covers some more advance options in charts. Participants that benefit the most are those looking to be more efficient with Excel

Preparation

Recommended: Excel at Excel: Getting Down the Basics

Participants should have a general familiarity with Excel, including knowing how to navigate a spreadsheet, and how to copy & paste. Please bring a laptop with Microsoft Office installed (Office 2007, 2010, or 2013 on a PC recommended, Excel 2011 on a Mac acceptable). The instructor will be using a Mac, however all functions/features will work on a PC. It is also highly recommended that you bring a mouse. This is an interactive class, and your participation and questions are encouraged.

Vaughn is a Brooklyn born, father of two, serial entrepreneur who is currently on a mission to organize the world's sports data. Before launching his sports data platform Ballstar, Vaughn served as associate director of Alumni affairs for Prep for Prep and later as an Alum Trustee. Using data to build community, make connections, and to better focus fundraising efforts Vaughn is most proud of the work he has done to nurture niche communities of Alums like those in the arts and tech communities. Now Vaughn uses data to bring together the global Basketball community.
