About This Workshop
Instagram continues to dominate the social media landscape with over 1 billion monthly active users in 2020. This visually appealing platform is here to stay and a top-recommended platform for brands and businesses. Nearly 80% of Instagram users follow a business.
In this workshop, you will learn the ins and outs of how to build and grow your brand’s presence on Instagram. We’ll cover the latest features from managing your Instagram feed, visual aesthetics, stories, and IGTV.

- Free and paid apps and services to help with your Instagram planning
- How to engage your audience using Instagram stories

This workshop is best suited for beginners. Please come to class with the Instagram app downloaded to your phone if you have not done so already

About the Instructor
Karen P’ng is a freelance strategist and consultant specialising in social media, digital marketing and content strategy. Having previously worked at Australia’s largest online retailer for 4.5 years, Karen turned to a full-time freelance role to help SMEs and established brands grow with structure and strategy. From fashion and furniture, to finance, she has worked with a range of clients including THE ICONIC, BrickX, Brosa, Weatherzone, and Escrow.com. Karen holds a BA from Queensland University of Technology but believes that most of her skills and expertise came from her experiences of learning on the job and consistent up-skilling through short courses.
