HTML is the backbone of the web pages that are so integral to our daily lives. Whether you're considering becoming a web developer, need to pick up some HTML for work, want to expand your skill set, or just plain curious, this class is a great way to take your first steps into the world of web technologies. This class will cover the basic building blocks of web pages.

The CSS 101 course introduces style sheets for controlling the appearance of HTML and is a recommended companion course.

About Brown Bag Workshops The Brown Bag Workshops are midday classes covering smaller amounts of material per session than standard classes. This format is ideal for those who find it difficult to come in for longer evening or weekend sessions. General Assembly's Seattle office at 3rd and Universty is ideally located for those in, or with easy access to, the downtown core. Prereqs & Preparation

There are no requirements for attending; however, the class includes plenty of opportunities to write and run the code samples on your own. If you'd like to code along with the examples used in the workshop, please bring the following: - Laptop with power adapter if necessary - A text editor (Sublime Text or Atom recommended) - A browser (Chrome recommended)
