Unconscious bias is a normal, omnipresent occurrence and “mental shortcut” that our brains make in order to process information. At work, bias manifests as everything from micro-aggressions (e.g. telling an unintentionally offensive joke at the expense of a person/group) to a systematic lack of inclusion (e.g. not providing women and minorities with the same strategic, career-building feedback offered to white men, which keep those groups out of executive roles).
In this event, you will learn to spot unconscious bias, where it comes from, and how to overcome it in order to ensure you land the right opportunity.
