About this event

Coding, like reading or writing, is becoming an essential skill in today's world. Programming is rapidly changing the way almost every industry works - marketing, media, entertainment, retail, you name it. We’re living in a world in which nearly everything is affected by technology. No matter what your profession is, you can use programming skills to benefit almost anything you’re working on.

Join us as General Assembly celebrates women in web development. According to a US' Department of Labor Current Population Survey from 2017, only 32.3% of all web developers are women. It’s time to change those statistics. We have invited a panel of outstanding women from different backgrounds to discuss their paths to coding, how it's changed their lives, and how you can benefit from it too.

Come listen to these women in web development discuss how they got started in the industry, what an average day looks like, which coding languages to learn, and more.

Agenda:

  • Check-in & Networking 6:30 - 7:00 pm
  • Panel 7:00 - 7:45 pm
  • Q&A 7:45 - 8:15 pm
  • Networking 8:15 - 9:00 pm

Stick around for drinks and networking afterwards, the drinks are on us!
