SoGal, TechBase, Lean In China, and Kr Space (36Kr), are jointly host Ascendas Singbridge Her Startup, the first cross-border startup competition focusing on female founders, with a mission to provide women entrepreneurs with a platform to grow and showcase their creativity, innovation, and business acumen.
In 2016, we are hosting 11 regional qualifying rounds of competition: 6 rounds of competitions in China (Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Guangzhou), 3 rounds in the US (San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City), 1 round in Singapore, and 1 round in SoGal Vietnam. The top 15 startups from the US and Asia will be selected to pitch at the SoGal Summit in Silicon Valley on July 20th. Additionally, finalist teams will have the option of attending a 5-day immersive bootcamp, where they'll have access to mentorship, access to funding and media opportunities, and connections to world-class experts, investors, CEOs, and like-minded entrepreneurs!
At each round of competition, startups will be judged by an all-star panel of investors that are committed to investing in early-stage startups with diverse & strong founding teams. Additionally, SoGal Ventures is committed to investing in select exceptional startups that appear in the finals.
