EVENT OVERVIEW: Have you always wanted to become a conference speaker but didn't know where to start? Let 2018 be the year that you make this a reality. Join us in NYC as we celebrate Global Diversity CFP Day with a 1-day workshop bringing together aspiring speakers with expert mentors. Craft your speaker bio, then work on your first CFP proposal with the help of mentors and present it for feedback to the whole group.

Requirements for Attending: The event is free but is limited to 100 attendees. Given the focus, we are opening registration only to members of under-represented minorities in tech (e.g., women, persons of color, LGBTQ). We will prioritize first-time speakers and CFP submitters who can benefit the most from the mentoring and resources.
WHAT YOU'LL TAKE AWAY By the end of the day, attendees will have a fully-written talk proposal that has been reviewed by an expert (mentor) and is ready for submitting to a CFP.
