About This Class


This workshop will be hosted online (Livestream) due to safety considerations, please check out the "Preparation" section on the bottom of this page. Registered participants will be notified in advance of this program with information on how to log in to the workshop.

Google Tag Manager has revolutionized digital marketing. Anyone can benefit whether you work for a large enterprise or a small startup.

Google Tag Manager lets any web professional take control of their website data and tagging, without needing to be reliant on the IT staff or developers.

This 3 hour session will take you through the basics of how tag manager works, using easy to understand concepts and practical “real-world” examples. By the end of the workshop you will be confident with deploying and changing google analytics tags, tracking elements like javascript errors and even deploying social media conversion tags to help take your digital marketing to the next level.

Preparation

  • Participants are encouraged to follow the setup process during the session.
  • If you have your own website and full writeable access to your tag manager container, you are welcome to use your own website. If you don’t have a website, we will send you instructions to set up a test site for testing your tags locally on your machine. You will be expected to have access rights to install software on your machine.
  • This class is taken completely online via Zoom and Slack.
  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam as well as a strong internet connection.
  • Course set up information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) the course launches.
