With over four million users and more than ten million repositories, it has become the place to be if you want to collaborate with other designers and developers on open-source projects. But just what exactly is so special about GitHub, and how can you get involved? And what’s the difference between GitHub and Git, the technology that powers the site? From the fundamentals of version control to publishing your first project, you’ll learn everything you need to know about GitHub and how it works in this class.

Takeaways
