About this event

General Assembly, in collaboration with Transition Film Festival are bringing Gaming in the Real World film screening to our Melbourne campus as part of Melbourne Knowledge Week 2017 with some very special guests!

Gaming in the real world is a documentary about Video Games and Urban Planning - How games can change the world and the way we build our future cities.

Gaming the Real World follows a two-year tale of games industry leaders, architects, politicians, and gamers, coming together as new gaming technology and city engineering find common ground in the “gamification” of urban planning.

Including interviews with members of UN-Habitat, Mojang, Paradox Interactive, and many more, the documentary explores the ideas and philosophies of gamers and professionals alike for the future of city design.

Come along and enjoy the screening over a few drinks and hear from some local Gaming industry leaders, movers and shakers from the Melbourne community with an exclusive fireside chat and Q&A after the screening.
