About this class

See how the predictive power of data drives modern business.

Step into the world of data science with General Assembly. During our introductory workshop, explore the job Harvard Business Review has dubbed “the sexiest of the 21st century,” and see how modern businesses are harnessing the power of data to drive innovation. Working with real-world case studies, you’ll:

  • Learn what data scientists do and the types of problems they solve.
  • Walk through the typical data science workflow and see how the pros identify powerful business predictions.
  • Explore key tools and processes data scientists use to analyze, visualize, and model data.
  • Apply what you’ve learned to a data set to produce your own recommendations.

Chart your own career path. Pick up where this workshop leaves off. Enhance your professional skill set in our 10-week, part-time Data Science course or become job-ready with our 12-week, full-time Data Science Immersive program.
