About this class series

Take a dive into JavaScript with a 1 week hands-on experience where you’ll be coding throughout the workshop. JavaScript is a programming language that allows you to create a dynamic web experience. When you see animations, content change, or an interactive experience on a website, that is most likely created with JavaScript. JavaScript is used by millions of websites and with frameworks constantly being built to compliment, JavaScript is here to stay.

This class will place an emphasis on coding, teaching you advanced JavaScript concepts. Through lecture and hands-on activities, participants will become comfortable with the JavaScript language, jQuery, and the JavaScript front-end framework AngularJS. Building on the foundations you learn, students take a hands-on approach in learning JavaScript's relationship to HTML and CSS to create professional, relevant applications. Using their advanced knowledge of JavaScript, students will create 1 front-end project and 1 full-stack project that have real world applications.

Prereqs & Preparation

Bring your laptop. While basic computer knoweldge is recommended, no previous knowledge of coding/javascript is required.Be prepared to do pre-work before class which will prepare you with basic coding knowledge (pre-work will be emailed to you once you enroll in class)
