    About this event

Join us for an intimate chat between Dorie Clark and Ryan Williams!

Dorie Clark is the author of "Reinventing You" (Harvard Business Review Press, 2013) and "Stand Out," which was named the #1 Leadership Book of 2015 by Inc. magazine. A former presidential campaign spokeswoman, she is a frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and Entrepreneur, and the World Economic Forum blog. Recognized as a "branding expert" by the Associated Press, Fortune, and Inc. magazine, Clark is a marketing strategy consultant and speaker for clients including Google, Microsoft, Yale University, Fidelity, and the World Bank.

During this fireside chat, we'll discuss Dorie's new book: "Entrepreneurial You: Monetize Your Expertise, Create Multiple Income Streams, and Thrive." We'll dive into a conversation about how we're shifting toward an ever more entrepreneurial, self-reliant, work-from-wherever-you-are economy. We'll share stories with actions and lessons to help professionals to navigate their dreams of becoming independent, whether by starting their own businesses, becoming consultants or freelancers, or developing a sideline.

Ryan Williams is marketing strategist, public speaker and author of "The Influencer Economy: How to Launch Your Idea, Share it With the World, and Thrive in the Digital Age." He also hosts The Stories From The Influencer Economy podcast. He's a former early team member at the social media video startups Machinima.com (acquired by Warner Bros.) and DigiSynd (acquired by Disney). He has given talks and taught about marketing and media at SXSW, Google, VidCon, Vanderbilt University, City University of London, University of Southern California, and Loyola Marymount. Ryan’s writing and podcast contributions have been featured in Inc. magazine, Huffington Post, Success Magazine, The Observer, Business Insider, Social Media Examiner, Success Magazine and USA Today.
